🎯 Codified aims to revolutionize this landscape by translating policy into code that can be implemented in a variety of ways. This code can then be connected to multiple applications requiring access to the data, making it easily adjustable when new customers or user categories emerge.
📝 “We let you author policies in natural language, in a declarative way or using a UI – pick your favorite way — but when those policies are authored, we can codify them into something that can be implemented in a number of ways and can be very easily changed,” Gupta elaborated.

For example, they can determine whether an employee has had security training in the last year or if they are involved in a sensitive project. By creating hard-coded data access rules based on individual employees and the applications or projects they are engaged in, Codified offers a more efficient alternative to traditional group-based approaches, which often fail to adapt as employees move around or change roles.
💼 Gupta’s impressive background includes 15 years at Microsoft, where he held various positions, including overseeing the Azure Databricks product. He also spent time at Singlestor, where he led product and engineering teams. During these experiences, Gupta encountered the very issues that Codified seeks to address.
